TOP TALENT

For students of the Faculty of Economics in Bilingual Program, funds support 80% of tuition fees throughout the program (20,000 baht/semester) and get to participate in internships with leading companies or agencies or Start-up businesses within the country.

Qualifications:
GPA depending on the application schedule (4-6 semesters) must not be less than 3.00.

Conditions for receiving the scholarship:
During study, the scholarship recipient must have a grade point average (GPA) of not less than 3.25 per semester.
Note: This scholarship does not have any obligations.

TOP STAR​

For students of the Faculty of Economics International Program, funds support 80% of tuition fees throughout the program (32,000 baht/semester) and will also be considered for funding to support learning abroad.

Qualifications:
GPA depending on the application schedule (4-6 semesters) must not be less than 3.00.

Conditions for receiving the scholarship:
During study, the scholarship recipient must have a grade point average (GPA) of not less than 3.25 per semester.
Note: This scholarship does not have any obligations.

Master’s Degree

RA: Research Assistantships

Research Assistant Scholarship (RA: Research Assistantships)
A fund that supports 80 percent of tuition fees according to the amount that the university charges in each academic year for not more than 2 academic years from the date of receiving the scholarship. And funding as a monthly stipend, with a funding limit of 8,000 baht per month for no more than 2 academic years from the month you begin receiving the scholarship. A total of 20 scholarships will be awarded per academic year with the following conditions:

Qualifications of lecturers requesting for RA scholarship

  • The applicant has to be lecturer in the Faculty of Economics, KKU. and must not be a person who is going to study further or is undergoing further study or long-term training (period of more than 180 days)
  • Have a doctorate level qualification or have an academic position from Associate Professor onwards
  • Have a research project in progress as project leader
  • Be able to provide some time to advise students applying for RA scholarships.

Qualifications of students eligible to apply as research assistants

  • Be a student studying for a Master’s degree, only Plan A Type A2
  • Have a cumulative grade point average at the bachelor’s or master’s level in the past semester of not less than 3.25 or have received a certificate from the lecturers applying for the scholarship.
  • While students receive the scholarship, they can receive other scholarships but must not disburse the funds twice.
  • Students must be able to carry out research work full-time as planned with the lecturer.

Criteria for consideration and allocation of funds

  • Fee support funds Education 80 percent (40,000 baht) not more than 2 academic years from the date of receiving the scholarship
  • Funding in the form of a monthly stipend of 8,000 baht per month for no more than 2 years from the date of receiving the scholarship.

Conditions for receiving scholarships

  • Lecturer applying for scholarship Students’ research progress must be evaluated in writing every semester and the Research Fund Management Committee evaluates them in order to receive further funding.
  • The research results must be published or have a letter accepting publication in an international academic journal on the ISI web of science base that is in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd quartile (Q1, Q2, Q3) according to The JCR (Journal Citation Reports) or SCOPUS database is in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd quartile (Q1, Q2, Q3) based on at least one SJR (SCImago Journal Rank) database by a journal that has been published must include the name of the lecturer applying for the scholarship. Name of student applying for scholarship along with the name of the Faculty of Economics Khon Kaen University as the parent institute.
    The work plan for each semester from lecturer applying for scholarship must be submitted to the Research Fund Executive Committee.

Scholarship selection and consideration process

  • Lecturer applying for scholarship whose work has been published in international academic journals in the ISI web of science base that is in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd quartile (Q1, Q2, Q3) according to the JCR (Journal Citation Reports) database or SCOPUS is in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd quartile (Q1, Q2, Q3) according to the SJR database (SCImago Journal Rank) is eligible to apply for no more than 2 scholarships.
  • Lecturer applying for scholarship that do not yet have work published in an international academic journal in the ISI web of science base that is in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd quartile (Q1, Q2, Q3) according to the JCR (Journal Citation Reports) or SCOPUS databases in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd quartile (Q1, Q2, Q3) according to the SJR database (SCImago Journal Rank) is eligible to receive 1 scholarship.

Scholarship commitments

In the case of scholarship recipient, students does not comply with the conditions of the contract or has a cause for termination of the scholarship contract, students are not responsible for funding for tuition fees that have already been received.
* Lecturers will not be able to apply for additional RA funding if the applicant has not been able to publish research according to the funding conditions.
